How to watch

This lecture starts on 31 July at 5:00pm (UK).

Summary

Kashmir carries the reputation of being the model for the mythical land of Shangri-La. However, Kashmir is in the news today, as it has been since 1947, as a battleground between competing claims of sovereignty between Pakistan and India; to add yet another layer of complexity to this already complex and volatile situation is the fact that China holds a portion of Kashmir. William Tyler examines the current situation from multiple perspectives.
