The British Raj
How to watch
Summary
The British Raj is the high point of Imperial Britain, with all that that implies–memsahibs, viceroys, and the glory of hill stations such as Simla. Yet it also witnessed the darker side of imperial rule–the Jallianwala Bagh massacre at Amritsar (1919), the draconian methods adopted to deal with Gandhi, and the growing demands for independence.
