Moses and the Exodus: The Great Biblical Story Portrayed in Film
How to watch
Summary
Stories give meaning to our world. Whether they are collective fictions or based in historical fact, or a bit of both, stories give us a sense of belonging, meaning, and identity. Moses and the Exodus is one of the great foundational stories of our Jewish worldview: a foundational myth–from slavery to freedom. But ways of telling great stories have changed radically over time. In this talk, we look at how this remarkable drama has been portrayed in film and why it resonates with invincible force today.
