Charles Landau
The Blood Libel

Tuesday 22.04.2025

Summary

In a world of magic, superstition, and hatred of the Jew, the Jew could be seen as arch degenerate, alien, and subhuman. The horned Jew was believed to be thirsting for Christian blood, venting on the “body” of Jesus Christ and children. Despite the consumption of blood being banned by Jews, accusations and trials spread like wildfire in Germany, Russia, and even Chicago.
