Images from the East That Changed the World
Summary
We live in a visually dominated world of images, films, and videos–the very word “Windows,” from Microsoft, says it all. Our imagination, memories, and conversations live in our minds through images; only occasionally do we recall the actual words. Many argue that history itself is often powerfully communicated through images; perhaps more so than words alone. In essence, our experience of an event, historical or contemporary, is primarily communicated through the image. In this presentation we will explore images from the East that changed our Western worldview.
